Talon by Julie Kagawa Book Review

Hi! Yesterday I finished Talon by Julie Kagawa and I loved it!!
If you don’t know what Talon is about, here is a summary from Goodreads....
Long ago, dragons were hunted to near extinction by the Order of St. George, a legendary society of dragon slayers. Hiding in human form and growing their numbers in secret, the dragons of Talon have become strong and cunning, and they're positioned to take over the world with humans none the wiser.

Ember and Dante Hill are the only sister and brother known to dragonkind. Trained to infiltrate society, Ember wants to live the teen experience and enjoy a summer of freedom before taking her destined place in Talon. But destiny is a matter of perspective, and a rogue dragon will soon challenge everything Ember has been taught. As Ember struggles to accept her future, she and her brother are hunted by the Order of St. George.

Soldier Garret Xavier Sebastian has a mission to seek and destroy all dragons, and Talon's newest recruits in particular. But he cannot kill unless he is certain he has found his prey: and nothing is certain about Ember Hill. Faced with Ember's bravery, confidence and all-too-human desires, Garret begins to question everything that the Order has ingrained in him: and what he might be willing to give up to find the truth about dragons.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

Overall, I would give this book 5 stars

Books because they don’t really interest me that much. But this was different. I liked it because they switched between dragons and humans so it wasn’t so dragon-y. Lol

The Characters: I loved Ember Hill so much, she is strong and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. In the first part, I really didn’t care about Dante and in the second part I wanted him to die! I was so mad at him! How do you betray your on sister, like C’mon!!!!!!!!! Riley *sighs* I love him. I am not really sure what to make of Ember and Riley’s relationship yet but I do hope it goes somewhere. I enjoyed reading from Garret’s POV, during the first part of Talon, but during the second part he started to get annoying to me. He couldn’t make up his mind on what to do. The whole time I was saying, “Garret MAKE UP YOUR MIND” I was proud of him that he went against “The Perfect Solider” and helped Ember and Riley get away. It ended where Dante is asked to lead the group to find and bring back Ember!

I’m super excited to read the next book, but it’s coming out in……..2016! Yeah a whole year I was so mad when I found out!

Anyway I hope you guys have an amazing day and I’ll see you soon! :D
